My advancement in the Martial Arts
I'm now getting butterflies while I wait for 4pm to come around, when I have to go and take my yellow belt test at class.. (Yellow belt..? yup. But I hear it's gruelling notheless.)

Reading: Pastwatch (the redemption) by Orson Scott Card.
Ties in neatly with the themes in Guns Germs and Steel, by Jared Diamond - which I'm also reading (off and on)

today being a day that:
• caused endless and needless worry at work
• I picked up the Art of Science (book.. that isn't handy to give more details on) and learned about keeping records
• I didn't do any further work on the potato buckyball
• I didn't learn anything about Swing (in java2)
• I did have in depth discussions with my girlfriend on what we're going to do after december when our son/daughter in born.. and what we need to do beforehand
• and that finally prompted me to get this blog of the ground (and gave me somewhere to test out this new template)

And that is that for now...

The time has come for a blog.
I ought to have done this 4 years ago... but I didn't, and so now I have to catch up.
